Default charge for this website

I am a college student and I have taught myself basic programming, but I have mastered HTML and CSS. I have a couple large, complex websites generating revenue. My next goal is to start building websites for people, rather than building them for myself. I feel getting paid for a project rather than hoping for a certain amount from AdSense is more consistent.

I want to build a portfolio other than the websites I already have and I am starting as simple as possible and working my up. I am going to build a website for a local restaurant. This website will include nothing but HTML and CSS and will have only about five pages with the menu, hours, location, contact, some reviews, etc.

I told this restaurant I will make the website for very cheap compared to other people who can make websites because I am trying to build websites for a portfolio. They have seen some of my other sites and love the design and content, etc. They completely trust me in making a legitimate, good-looking website. They have no knowledge of what it should cost, though.

How much should I charge for this website? Would $100 be an appropriate amount? That would be about 20 dollars an hour after all of the designs from scratch, typing up the menus, etc.

Thanks!

$100 is a low amount. Some people might say minimum $1,000.00. I know some people might charge a lot more than $1,000.00.

I think $500.00 is a good amount to charge, for a website.

Normally, websites cost from 60 dollars to 150 dollars based on their quality. With advanced CSS menus and stuff like that you can probably charge 100 bucks. but i wouldn't push it past that. Many of the more expensive websites are made using Flash. they're fancier and harder to make. So they cost from 150 to 250 bucks.
