Default is it normal to forget what you learn in programming classes

Is it normal for a college student to forget the syntax for a programming language soon. I only use it to complete my assignments. I am a information systems major. I remember the general concepts like loops and arrays and stuff like that. Am I in trouble? I hope is not only me. Soon as it hits the summer my brain starts to dump information or should I say drip out some information.
