Default migrate a wordpress.com website to my own domain

I have a long-established wordpress.com free website. I want to migrate the whole thing to my own domain, preserving the articles, formatting and, especially, the template as it has been designed. How does one go about this? I've read up on the methods and it seems that often all formatting and styles are lost - I need to preserve the site exactly as it is, just with a different address.

Additionally, my website is for a specific region of the world, and now we are going global. Is there any way to clone the whole site template several times and establish them independently in subdomains of my website? I want to keep the branding consistent, and thus the only change will be a graphic stating the location. How can I copy the site exactly so I can place it in my subdomains?
