I asked this before and got a few very confusing answers, I have no idea how computers work I just turn them on and go so any answers you give need to be really dumbed down thanks so here's what's happening:
When I turn it on the acer screen comes up (this is an acer all in one desk top) then instantly a message saying this: Recovery Your PC needs to be repaired The boot configuration data file is missing some required information File: \BCD Error code: 0xc0000034 You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media if you don't have installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or manufacturer. No I don't have these recovery tools or installation media, I called the manufacturer and they said because it's under warranty they will take it for repairs but they're not picking it up for 2 days and they said it's highly likely it will need to be reset to factory settings so I'll lose everything on there! Can anyone help me at all here? Also again I cannot access the computer, I turn it on and it goes straight to this error page I can't get in to do anything, I don't know what a command prompt is or how to get to it... really I have no idea what to do. |

You'll probably need something similar to this to get your files back:
http://www.boot-disk.com/ Basically Windows is supposed start your computer but it doesn't work so you need a usb drive or cd that has a program on it that can start up your computer and save your files. You'll probably either need to spend a LOT of time on Google or find someone that knows a little bit more about computers to help you. There are some faq links at the bottom of that website that might help also. If you have any more specific questions you can message me (or at least I think you can) and I'll try to help further. |
