Default freshly install windows to a new drive, yet save everything on my other drive

I just purchased an ssd to put my os on. How do i do this, while keeping my programs on my other drive, along with files etc...do i need a new windows 7 code also? Moreover, if i put it on the ssd, would i delete the os from my other drive? And would the ssd have priority?
I know i worded it wierd but if anyone could help i would greatly apreciate it!
